Summer is winding down, and there is no better way to send it off than with good food, good company, and an afternoon spent together. The Men’s Home invites you to our annual Labor Day Picnic on Monday, September 7, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 402 Hume Avenue in Alexandria, Virginia. Everyone is welcome. Residents, alumni, families, volunteers, supporters, neighbors, and anyone who wants to know more about what we do here.
We will have the grill going all afternoon with burgers and hot dogs, and we will be putting out sides and desserts to go along with them. If you would like to contribute, bring a dish to share. Potato salad, baked beans, a pan of brownies, a bowl of fruit, whatever you like to make.
If you cannot bring anything, come anyway. There will be plenty. The point of the day is the people, not the potluck.

Labor Day marks the close of one season and the start of another. It is a good moment to look back at the summer, to be grateful for the people who carry this ministry, and to look ahead to what comes next.
